Mike Scala accepted the position of Executive Director for CEDC in the fall of 2016. Five years previous to that, he had relocated to the North Country from the Seacoast to serve as the area Special Assistant to United States Senator Kelly Ayotte. Mike has a background in both manufacturing and small business, and has worked for manufacturers Tyco Electronics and Lonza Biologics. Mike honed his small business skills while working in his family’s restaurant businesses, and still finds time to occasionally fill in behind the grill at his parent’s Wakefield, New Hampshire location.
Mike is a SCORE councilor, Adjunct Professor of Business Studies at White Mountains Community College, and serves as a member for both the CASA of NH North Country Advisory Board, and the Berlin Industrial Development and Park Authority.
Mike attended the University of New Hampshire where he received a BA in History and a Masters in Business.
For nearly 30 years, Bob worked at two Fortune 150 companies, Arrow Electronics and Avnet Electronics. Both companies were global distributors of semiconductors, providing supply chain solutions for OEM customers around the world. Beginning his career in an entry-level position, Bob rose to hold positions such as: Director of Sales of Canada & Mid-Atlantic States, Director of Hiring/Recruiting Programs North America, Director of Customer Relations Management programs for North & South America, and one of Arrow’s global leaders for Arrow’s new Oracle ERP design and implementation.
Bob and his wife also owned a Motel, Restaurant and Bar on Cranberry Lake in the Adirondacks. A former Executive Director of CEDC, Bob also serves on the board of Directors at North Country Council.
Avis E. Brosseau, a resident of Brunswick, VT, began her banking career 30 years ago and joined First Colebrook Bank n/k/a Granite Bank in 1992. Brosseau has held several positions within the bank to include VP Commercial Loan Officer, VP Compliance Officer, Senior Vice President – Northern Regional Manager, SVP Chief Credit Administration Officer and currently holds the position of SVP Finance. Brosseau also serves as Secretary/Clerk and Treasurer of Granite Bank and First Colebrook Bancorp, Inc.
Brosseau holds a bachelor’s degree from Lyndon State College in Business Administration and received her MBA from Plymouth State University. She attended Northern New England School of Banking as well as the New England School of Banking.
Brosseau’s civic and community involvement currently includes a board seat on Coos Economic Development Corporation as well Vice President, and member of the Finance/Loan and Grant Committees; New Hampshire Small Business Development Center Advisory Board Member; and board member of Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital. Past affiliations include Coos Economic Development Corporation’s Treasurer, board member of both Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital Coalition and North Country Chamber of Commerce and sat on the Finance Committee of Indian Stream Health Center.

Sarah is the Commercial Loan Officer for Passumpsic Savings Bank in Lancaster. She has over twenty-five years of banking experience in the North Country. Her career began in 1985 as a teller, working through the various departments of a local community bank. In 2007 she took on the role as a Commercial Lender utilizing her skills to assist clients in managing and growing their businesses of all sizes. In addition to her role as Treasurer for CEDC, she also serves as a Trustee for Weeks Medical Center, is a member of the Col. Town Investment Committee as well as a Board Member for the Vermont Chapter of RMA. Sarah and her family reside in Lancaster, NH.
